Trust & Safety

Last Updated September 2025

Family First is committed to creating meaningful and safe relationships for our users. We want your dating life to be safe and sound during both Family First dates and outside dates. Our Trust & Safety team shares these best practices with you to keep in mind in all of your dating experiences.

If you are in immediate danger, please call 911 or your local emergency services number. If you’ve had a bad experience with a match or user from Family First, we encourage you to report those incidents or individuals to our Trust & Safety team so we can further investigate and take action: safety@FamilyFirst.com.

Family First, its Matchmakers, or any Family First associate or representative, will never ask you to meet in person for any purpose whatsoever. Family First is not affiliated with any other dating or matchmaking services and any person or entity that claims they are affiliated with us is fake. We do not utilize a customer support phone number and will never contact you to ask you for your account details or log-in credentials. If you have been contacted by anyone claiming to be associated with Family First, requesting to meet in person, please let us know at safety@FamilyFirst.com, and you will receive a confirmation email from us that your support request has been submitted.

Date Safety

Family First matchmakers are experts at coordinating first dates that allow for you to have fun and explore chemistry, but also prioritize your safety and peace of mind.

First Dates

  • Always meet in a public place. A coffee shop, bookstore, or even a public park are great places to meet for the first time.
  • Always tell a friend or family member about your plans—where you're going, with whom, and what time you'll be back. If anything seems off, you should have a safety plan in place.
  • Always drive yourself. Never let someone you don't know pick you up from your house, and never go to your date's home or apartment on the first date.
  • Always check in with a friend or family member after the date.
  • Always report bad behavior to our Trust & Safety team so we can investigate it and take action.

Online Safety

  • Never provide your personal or financial information to anyone you’ve only just met. This includes your Social Security Number, home address, bank account or credit card numbers, or any other private information.
  • Be wary of people who are too eager to move your conversation off of our site or apps. Scammers often try to move the conversation to personal text messages or email immediately to bypass our security features.
  • Be cautious of anyone who asks for money, for any reason. If someone asks for money, report them immediately.
  • Report anyone who sends you unsolicited explicit photos or messages. We do not allow this behavior and will take immediate action on your behalf.
  • Do your own research on your matches. If they give you a last name or other personal details, it is wise to do your own online search to ensure they are who they say they are. If your match is an international user, do your own due diligence.
  • Block and report anyone who makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable.

Reporting Unsafe or Harmful Behavior

If you have been subject to unsafe or harmful behavior, we encourage you to report it to our Trust & Safety team at safety@FamilyFirst.com so we can further investigate. If you believe your safety is in immediate danger, please call 911 or your local police immediately. In addition, we encourage you to reach out to the following organizations for support, help, and resources. Our list includes resources for topics such as online safety, sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, suicide prevention, and other potentially harmful behavior.
